On Saturday, Houston Astros reached the World Series after defeating New York Yankees 4-0 in Game 7 of ALCS (American League Championship Series). It is for the first time since 2005 that Astron win the World Series game.

“We came home, we wanted to do it in front of the fans. They support us and this is why we are here.”, said Astros star Jose Altuve after his team erased a 3-2 deficit. Charlie Morton, the starting pitcher of Astros, threw 5 shutout innings allowing 2 hits while reliever Lance McCullers Jr. gave up just one hit and strike out five.

Jose Altuve and catcher Evan Gattis individually contributed home runs to the team. Jim Crane, the Chairman of the Houston Astros, expressed his gratitude to the team’s fans for remaining connected with the club even while it is trying to recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.

Crane said, “Everybody has been pulling together and it is kind of a dream come true for this city to make it this far and have a chance to win the World Series,”. After winning all 4 of their home games, Houston has became the fifth team in MLB history to win a seven-game postseason series.

Houston Astros will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the next match to be held on Tuesday night at 8:10 p.m. ET. We wish congratulations to the Astros and a good luck for the upcoming baseball games.
