On Tuesday night, New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis suffered a knee injury while playing against Portland Trail Blazers. He left the game midway through the first quarter. It seemed that he bumped his left knee after colliding with Blazers guard Damian Lillard.
In the second quarter, the Pelicans announced that Anthony Davis would not return. Davis had two points and a rebound before getting injured. At the end of the game, the Pelicans were defeated by Trail Blazers 103-93.
According to ESPN, the 24-yr-old Pelican player underwent MRI on his knee in Portland. It is not the first time that Davis has injured his left knee as he suffered injuries in the 2015-16 season and 2013-14 rookie season also.
Davis had 17 rebounds in each of his first three games. Happy Hairston, the player of the Los Angeles Lakers, did so in 1974. Davis averaged a career-best 28 points and 11.8 rebounds last season with the Pelicans.
We hope that he get well soon and returned to the basketball court and gave brilliant performances.
